Budget Decor: Repurposing Art for a Wall Gallery

I have been in love with wall galleries and their use of a pattern in a frame.  I've seen zebra, polka dots, and chevrons create an interesting color scheme mixed with family pictures, letters, and a chalkboard with a custom saying.  Combining all of these elements really makes a gorgeous gallery wall.

The best part, is that you can use what you have and create something like this for FREE.  That's right! FREE!!!!! I had some art prints that I decided were cheesy, so took the art prints out and put in FREE printables.

Visit Valerie at Pixel Stix Graphics to get your own red or blue chevron printable.

I also upcycled a clearance item into this cute DIY chalkboard.  I got this last year, and it was hiding in the corner of a closet, but now it's headed straight for my wall gallery!

Other materials for repurposing ugly or outdated art:
  • Leftover fabric
  • An old t-shirt
  • An old table cloth
  • Scrapbook paper scraps
  • a page out of a book.
You can do so much of this for FREE!

Maybe you don't have a frame, but you can cruise the clearance rack or dollar store and find something that is plain and simple for cheap.

I can't wait to reveal the gallery!
