For the Love of TURQUOISE: Upcycled Filing Cabinet

OH, honey! I can't explain how this project blew my expectations.  I knew I loved how a pop of turquoise just from seeing different pictures in the blogosphere, but in person?!?!? Oh my lands! I'm begging you to try it for yourself as if this is some infomercial for turquoise.  I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Florence and clear wax.

Sorry for the grainy picture.  My Rebel's battery died, and my tripod attachment is on so tight I can't remove it.  HONEY???? I'll have to ask Sean for his help when he gets home!

Want the before? Let's be honest.  You probably would want cringe to have this monstrosity in your office.  You wouldn't have wanted this before.

This is actually the same before I had when I upcycled a filing cabinet a few weeks ago.  They were both the same ugly color, but one was legal sized and the other letter.

I know you must be wondering how many files we must have at our house.  I actually intended on selling the turquoise one and keeping the brown and white one.  To my chagrin, the brown and white one does not have hardware, so I can't put files in it.  It has become my crafting storage!

Now I will need to pick up another filing cabinet to paint turquoise! I might have to put that off, though, because I am getting ready to open a new door where Howdy Honey is concerned.  With much prayer and my husband's blessing, Howdy Honey is going to open shop at the first ever Justin Trade Days next month!

Here is a glance at one of the dealers who just moved into the new Just In Time Antique Mall where trade days will take place!

If you aren't familiar with Justin, then you should know it's just north of Fort Worth.  I'm so thrilled to be a part of it.  There should be tons of posts leading up to Justin Trade Days showing you all the latest projects!

Thanks for stopping by today.  Go make something cute!
