From Mirror, Mirror to Chalkboard for Fall: 12 Days Until Justin Trade Days

Mirror, mirror on the wall, turn into a chalkboard reflecting sentiments about Fall.

Thankfully, it will not change back at midnight! My friend Lanae's mom calls this "pumpkin o'clock!" Let's take a closer look, shall we?

I am loving the patina on this one! I created some green streaks before painting the frame with Old White Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.  After a few coats, I added the clear wax and sanded the edges once the wax dried.  To seal it, I waxed it again.  I painted the center with Graphite.  I asked my son for a cute saying for it, hoping he would come with a few words.  He is a wordsmith, though, so he came with a poem that would be difficult to fit with no visual aids, but I still wanted to share what he wrote.

Don't you love that? In 30 seconds, he had 5 ideas.  I wish I could remember the others!
Sparks was my "helper" today.  This is how useful I was yesterday.
Sorry I missed yesterday in the series.  I definitely didn't plan on that.  My husband rescued me from my exhaustion by asking me to cuddle.  That is exactly why I decided to start a boutique in the first place... for the love of making things new and making time for my family.  All's well that ends well, and we, well.. you know... are living our happily ever after.  I don't mean perfect fairytale living.  I mean living/forgiving our happily ever after.
