How to Get A Shabby Chippy Look with Milk Paint without Crackle Medium

Is there anything more shabby than the super-chippiest finish in white with a dark color underneath? The answer is no.  The wonderful nature of milk paint is that it WILL chip.  I wanted to give you a technique to try that will blow your socks off.  That's right! Use a BLOWDRYER on the top coat.  Look at all the fractures in this finish!

I found this out by accident when I had a really stubborn spot that refused to dry.  I added bonding agent to the first coat, but not the second, but it crackled right down to the black base.

I have a whole slew of upcoming milk projects coming up this week.  It is quickly becoming my favorite paint of all time.  HMM. I wonder if other people have a favorite paint of all time.  Do you?

Keep up, Honey!
