Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint in French Enamel & Kitchen Scale End Table

You've just gotta love the chippy quality of Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint.  I decided to layer two colors for a few matching end tables.  I'm just showing one tonight.  First, I covered it in Kitchen Scale with bonding agent.  Next, I added some Vaseline to places I wanted to be raw.

All this chippiness makes my heart go 246! I love the way the top really peeled away to reveal the Kitchen Scale.  Check this out! I can't help but notice how the red POPS right off that French Enamel.

Have you tried layering milk paint? I really love the possibilities!

I got this frame at a thrift store for a good price and painted it into a chalkboard.  I have been sitting on it for months waiting to show it to you! I knew it was going to take a prominent place with powerful words.  If you don't recognize it, it's a lyric from "Awake My Soul" by Mumford & Sons.

My sweet honey Sean said he wanted to be able to see that to help him along with how he should be using his time.  He wants it right next to the TV so we won't spend our lives right there.

Our living room has been undergoing a transformation, but it's rooted in the heart.  We were in a contract with a satellite TV provider, and we paid our way out of it because TV is no longer a member of our family.  We now enjoy it as a gift in small doses.  We have other investments to make with our hearts.

That's why I love this work so much.  It might seem superficial to decorate the home, but the transformation we're making reflects what Jesus is doing in our home and hearts.

Keep up, Honey!
