There are tons of designs on Minted that incorporate actual references to Christmas (which I LOVE) in addition to the general holiday greetings. As a girl with a graphic design past, I am in love with the overall beauty in the designs of their cards. They become great keepsakes for families, and I think they're beautiful enough to frame and bring out each Christmas.
Minted must have understood that keepsake quality because they now print custom photo art prints, too, which would be great to display any time of year. They are printed on art quality paper with museum quality archival pigments. You can customize many of the designs to say something personal in addition to adding your photo.
I chose to customize this Mom Love Art Print design by indie artist Sarah Hicks Malone.
First, I customized the color of the heart to become the Fire color you see highlighted here. I also chose the size, and then hit the personalize button to customize the photo and text beneath the photo.
Our 11th wedding anniversary is just around the corner, and my husband is always blown over by photo gifts, so this is the perfect anniversary gift for him. He could really use a great picture of his bride, so I uploaded a picture of me in my wedding dress and added my one of my favorite marriage scriptures from Song of Solomon. That should be a heart melting combo (I hope)!
Here's how it turned out! This is a zoomed in preview Minted gave me before I added it to my cart.
I can't wait to see it in person! Let the package carrier stalking begin. The color of the heart has the perfect coral hue to match our Anthropologie shams for our Boho Chic Bedroom Makeover.
By the way, I know I'm posting this 9 days before our anniversary, but as long as none of my friends spill the beans (he doesn't do social media or blog reading unless I email it to him), the secret is safe. My kids are more likely to blab than you, though.
I *might* just be keeping a secret from you! My friend Cara Cooper is just about the only one who knows. In fact, this secret is pretty interesting because it's like a secret wrapped inside of a secret.
Does that give you any hints? I'll tell you more about that secret tomorrow!
What are your favorite ways to incorporate photos into gifts and cards?
Keep up, Honey!
