Fall Mantle and 100th Post

Even with the memorably mild temperatures in Texas this Summer, I am looking forward to Fall.  There is just something cozy about the air when it's jacket weather and the harvest of the summer's work.  Speaking of, I have been working behind the scenes on a change for Howdy Honey.  I am giving you a little sneak peek today of what is to come for Fall, but before we talk about that, let's take a look at the Fall mantle for this year.

You might recognize the wreath and book page backdrop from last year.  I feel like I've come full circle with this 100th post because these elements put me on the blogging map.  I'm so thankful for the support from readers and other bloggers.  Your views and comments make it worth the effort.

Just for kicks, here's last year's Fall mantle.

This year's addition is this handpainted kettle corn sign.  I am going to do an Instasale  soon of all my new Fall signs soon.  Follow Howdy Honey on Instagram here >> http://instagram.com/howdy_honey for all the details.  This brings me to the changes around here.  The rest of this year, I'll be steering away from custom furniture designs to create signs.  I will always paint furniture, but right now life demands that I focus on offering smaller projects.  Custom work is always rewarding, but the cost of time to get a specific result is more than I can offer right now.

Here's the Kettle corn sign in progress.  The excitement of Fall is captured in so many different memories- Fall Festival, The State Fair of Texas, going the the pumpkin patch, and Football to name a few.  Kettle corn seems to be at them all.  I plan on capturing more of that essence of Fall in the coming weeks.

Thanks again for all your support this last year.  I am truly blessed by this journey we've taken together.

Keep up, Honey!
